New Awards Received by Dr. Michele Barbato's Research Group Members

Professor Michele Barbato's research group recently received the following two rewards for their research. 

The first award is for the paper "Capabilities and limitations of existing finite element simplified micro-modeling techniques for unreinforced masonry” which has been selected for the 2022 Best Paper Award of Research on Engineering Structures and Materials (RESM). This paper was co-authored by CEE Professor Michele Barbato and Postdoctoral Researcher Nitin Kumar with Dr. Fabio Matta and Dr. Erika Rengifo-López from the University of South Carolina.

The second is for CEE Postdoctoral Researcher Nitin Kumar was selected as one of three winners (out of more than 200 reviewers) of the Excellence in Review Award for the international journal Research on Engineering Structures and Materials (RESM). This award is based mainly on the quality of the review reports, in conjunction with timeliness and the number of reviews performed during the year.
