Tutors are available to provide help with any CEE course, but may be more knowledgeable in certain areas based on their disciplinary background.
Yicheng Li
Yicheng is a fourth-year PhD candidate in Environmental Engineering, with a research focus on turbulence simulation within the atmospheric boundary layer, exploring land-air interactions and canopy flow. His work involves leveraging high-performance computing (HPC) through CPU/GPU parallelization to solve fluid flow in initial value problems (IVPs). Yicheng has previously served as a reader for ECI 100 and ECI 115, where his expertise in coding has been instrumental in supporting students. With proficiency in Python and MATLAB, along with skills in C/C++ and Fortran, Yicheng is enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge and experience in environmental fluid dynamics to help fellow students succeed.

Hanieh Khoshnevis-Ansari
Hanieh is a third-year master’s student in the Cappa research group, where her research focuses on atmospheric chemistry and indoor air quality. She is enthusiastic about engaging with students and enjoys sharing her knowledge in areas such as atmospheric chemistry, air pollution, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics. Hanieh firmly believes there is a meaningful difference between knowing the name of something and truly understanding it, and she is committed to helping students build both a strong foundation and a genuine interest in these areas.
Tutoring Services and Study Centers
LEADR Student Center
The LEADR Student Center is open to any student who supports diversity and inclusion in the field of engineering, and who shares a willingness to create a welcoming environment for all students. This dedicated study space allows students to study individually or in groups. Engineering community building is also encouraged.
Location: 1050 Kemper Hall
Hours (academic year): Mondays through Thursdays, 10 AM to 8 PM, and Fridays, 10 AM to 4 PM
Hours (summer): Mondays through Friday, 9 AM to 3 PM
Engineering Student Design Center
Also commonly known as the ESDC, the Engineering Student Design Center is the university’s primary manufacturing shop for the numerous student teams and research groups within the College of Engineering. Check out the calendar for open lab hours!
