Itthipat Lumlerdvoravith
Itthipat is a fourth-year PhD candidate in Structural Engineering from Thailand. His research focuses on concrete structures and the application of machine learning models to predict structural behavior. He has served as a Teaching Assistant for multiple courses, including ENG 35, ECI 135, and ENG 104L, and has also worked as a reader for ENG 104. His teaching experience, combined with his expertise in structural applications, allows him to effectively support students in their academic journey. Itthipat is excited to continue contributing as a tutor for ENG 35, ENG 104, ECI 135 and in any structure course/topic sharing his knowledge and passion for the subject with fellow students.
Yicheng Li
Yicheng is a fourth-year PhD candidate in Environmental Engineering, with a research focus on turbulence simulation within the atmospheric boundary layer, exploring land-air interactions and canopy flow. His work involves leveraging high-performance computing (HPC) through CPU/GPU parallelization to solve fluid flow in initial value problems (IVPs). Yicheng has previously served as a reader for ECI 100 and ECI 115, where his expertise in coding has been instrumental in supporting students. With proficiency in Python and MATLAB, along with skills in C/C++ and Fortran, Yicheng is enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge and experience in environmental fluid dynamics to help fellow students succeed.
Max Waechter
Max Waechter is a 2nd year master's student in Transportation Technology and Policy who did his bachelors degree in Civil Engineering. His research focuses on public transit and the usefulness of micro transit systems. He has a thorough knowledge of transportation systems, transportation modeling, and experience in Matlab and R. He will be contributing as a tutor for ECI 114, ECI 133, and any transportation related class.
Tutoring Services and Study Centers
LEADR Student Center
The LEADR Student Center is open to any student who supports diversity and inclusion in the field of engineering, and who shares a willingness to create a welcoming environment for all students. This dedicated study space allows students to study individually or in groups. Engineering community building is also encouraged.
Location: 1050 Kemper Hall
Hours (academic year): Mondays through Thursdays, 10 AM to 8 PM, and Fridays, 10 AM to 4 PM
Hours (summer): Mondays through Friday, 9 AM to 3 PM
